Meat sales

As a product of our nature conservation grazing activity across Dorset, we are able to supply naturally produced beef and lamb to local customers.

Our meat is produced from animals reared only on nature reserves and extensively managed farmland in Dorset.

These animals are helping to preserve the biodiversity of the grasslands and heathlands where they live and are reared without the use of any pesticides or fertilisers. They are 100% grass and forage reared and graze extensively throughout the year.

We do not feed cereals or crops other than grass to ruminants.

We use native breeds to graze our sites including; Ruby Red Devons, Red and Black Angus and Wiltshire horn crossbred sheep.

We also rear a small number of pigs most years in our woods and so often have free range pork available in the autumn and winter.

All our meat is professionally butchered and our beef is hung for 21 days and the lamb for 7 days.
