Looking after habitats and our environment has always been at the heart of our business which was established and continues to be centred around providing a conservation grazing service on land of high environmental value. We can provide grazing with native breed cattle or sheep, even pigs or other species. We tailor the grazing around the specific objectives and limitations of the site. Both Jake and Chrissy have a background in the environmental sector and are keen to make sure that we maximise the wildlife value of the land we manage. We always aim to manage animal welfare to the highest standards. We are proponents of managing livestock in an extensive and very low input system that addresses the various concerns that environmentalists and consumers have about livestock farming.
In addition to providing grazing we are able to deliver the wider conservation management of sites including scrub control, fencing and proving water infra-structure. We are also able to manage wildlife friendly arable systems or be involved with new ideas surrounding ecosystem services, public access and wild or natural grazing systems. We manage our sites as open demonstrations and regularly give talks and guided walks to schools and wider interest groups on the subjects of conservation grazing, environmentally sensitive farming and food production.
