We start an ambitious Countryside Stewardship scheme at Middlebere farm this year creating over 150 acres of wood pasture habitat, maintaining salt marsh and reed bed habitat for breeding birds. One of the first jobs is restoring 40-50 acres of grassland to wildflower rich habitat, using seed we harvested last summer from neighbouring Scotland Farm meadows SSSI. Thanks to Heritage seeds for harvesting and preparing the seed.
